India’s MakeMyTrip sparks outrage with ad mocking Pakiatan cricket fans

MakeMyTrip, an Indian online travel company, has sparked anger for an ad ridiculing Pakistanis.

The ad was published by Times of India and some other newspapers ahead of Pakistan and India’s World Cup match on Saturday.

The ad contains a picture and hashtags mocking Pakistani cricket fans was condemned by a large number of Indians online.

Some Indian cricket fans announced to boycott the company for making their country a laughing stock.

Twitter user Rahul Fernandes wrote,”As an Indian, I want to apologize to every Pakistani person for this @makemytrip ad. This does not represent Indian values. It only represents the worst among us.”

He added, “For those wondering, I’ve verified — via TOI epaper — this ad did indeed appear.”

Another user Pradeep wrote, “I will never use @makemytrip app again.”
