MAN killed for preventing ‘Arabs’ from hunting houbara bustards

Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party MPA Jam Awais Jokhio has been accused of torturing to death a man for preventing foreigners from hunting hunting houbara bustard in a village near Karachi.

Police have registered a case against the PPP lawmaker on the complaint of the deceased who was a father of four children.

The FIR said Jokhio was beaten to death after he stopped foreigners from hunting birds in his village. The report said the foreigners returned after the deceased and his brother prevented them from hunting.

According to senior journalist Mubashir Zaidi the hunters were Arabs.
