Meher Bokhari joins ARY News after Arshad Sharif’s ‘Power Play’ set removed
Islamabad: Salman Iqbal announced on Monday that anchor Meher Bokhari has joined ARY News to fill the position left vacant by Arshad Sharif.
Arshad Sharif died in mysterious circumstances in Kenya in October last year.
Meher Bokhari is the wife of ARY News anchor Kashif Abbasi.
The ARY administration has removed the set of Arshad Sharif’s show “Power Play” on the request of his mothe.
Meher Bokhari would be hosting a show with new title in the same time slot as Arshad Sharif’s.
Meher Bokhari was famously caught doing a planted interview of real estate tycoon Malik Riaz when he was accused of bribing the then chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry’s son Arsalan Iftikhar.
Ironically, after joining ARY, she was quick to criticize senior Supreme Court judge Qazi Faez Isa for attending a parliamentary session to celebrate the constitution of Pakistan.
She and her husband are known to have safe corner for Imran Khan and often take sides with the PTI and its leader on social media.
