Moeed Yusuf’s remarks spark Biden-Imran memes
Islamabad: Pakistan’s National Security Adviser (NSA) Moeed Yusuf recently said that US President Joe Biden not calling Pakistani PM is beyond his understanding.
Talking to Financial Times regarding situation in Afghanistan, he said “The president of the United States hasn’t spoken to the prime minister of such an important country who the US itself says is make-or-break in some cases, in some ways, in Afghanistan — we struggle to understand the signal, right?”
“We’ve been told every time that . . . [the phone call] will happen, it’s technical reasons or whatever. But frankly, people don’t believe it.”
Workers and leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, the Pakistan People’s Party and other opposition parties are taking shots at the Pakistani premier after Yusuf’s remarks.
