Mysterious death of Mohsin Farooq, a national volleyball player
Islamabad: Police in Islamabad are still investigating the death of Mohsin Farooq,a national volleyball player, who allegedly fell to death from the fifth floor of a building in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old was a resident of Kalar Sydan in Punjab and had come to the capital along with his four friends.
Family of the deceased has nominated his friends in the FIR accused them of murdering the player.
The death of Mohsin Farooq occured In Bahria Town, where police said the deceased and his friends had rented two flats after arriving in the capital.
The men were joined by a group of four woman in their flats located on the third and fifth floors.
According to Pakistan’s leading English Daily, Dawn, the men and women remained on the third floor for some time before Farooq, along with a woman, went to the fifth floor.
The newspaper reported that after sometime the national player fell down from the balcony of the fifth floor flat and the women left the area.
Farooq, who suffered serious injuries, died at a hospital where he was brought by his friends.
Police said they have arrested the suspects and the investigation was underway.
Identities of the women have not been disclosed by the police.
