Najam Sethi reveals name of next army chief?

Lahore: Veteran journalist Najam Sethi on Friday said the name of the next army chief has been finalized.

Speaking to Raza Rumi and Murtaza Solangi, Sethi claimed that SS and AA won’t be the next army chief.

His remarks were an obvious reference to to Lt.Generl Sahir Shamshad and Lt.Gen Azhar Abbas.

He, however, did not say whether Lt. General Asim Munir would become the next army chief or Lt. General Noman would be the government’s choice.

Meanwhile, senior journalist Azaz Syed said the GHQ would move the summary containing the names of army chief candidates to the Ministry of Defence on Monday.
