Oil and gas reserves found in Pakistan’s KP

New oil and gas reserves have been Found in Pakistan Khyber Paktunkhwa district.

According to a statement issued by tThe MOL Group who operates TAL Block in Pakistan the discovery was made in district Kohat.

The statement said, “The Mamikhel South-1 exploratory well successfully reached a total depth of 4,939m on 23rd May 2020. Upon testing, the well flowed gas and condensate from Lockhart & Hangu formation at a flow rate of 6,516 BOEPD (16.12mmscfd and 3,240bpd respectively), with flowing well-head pressure of 4,476 PSI at 32/64′ choke.”

Meanwhile, senior journalist and TV show host Kamran Khan also shared the news on his program as well as on his social media account.

Khan said that the discovery of oil and gas will help Pakistan save foreign exchange.
