Organizers take notice of harassment of women at Aurat March

Islamabad: The organizers of Aurat March have called on the women to come forward if they were harassed at the protests arranged in different cities of Pakistan on International Women’s Day.

” URGENT: We are taking notice of the countless stories of women being harassed at #AuratAzadiMarch2020,” said a tweet posted by verified Twitter account of Islamabad Aurat March.

The Twitter statement urged the participants to “message us or one of the organizers if you or someone else you know was harassed at the march.”

Another tweet by Aurat Azadi March Islamabad read: ” We are working our hardest to address each case individually and speak to the people who were harassed at the march as soon as possible.”
