Pervez Elahi contradicts Imran Khan on Meher Bokhari show

Lahore: PTI President and former Punjab chief minister Pervez Elahi has chosen to take sides in a dispute between Imran Khan and the army.

He clearly seemed to back the army’s narrative with regard to the assassination attempt on Khan when he appeared on Meher Bokhari’s show on ARY on Monday.

Elahi said that he was the one who had stopped the police from nominating Major General Faisal Naseer in the FIR after the Wazirabad attack on Imran Khan.

His statement came after Khan launched fresh attacks on the DGC (ISI).

Khan’s allegations also elicited strong reaction from the army which issued a rebuttal through its media wing, ISPR, and warned of legal action against him.
