Peshawar men arrested for beating sister with hammer and helmet for demanding her rights

Peshawar; Police on Saturday said they have arrested the two brothers who brutally beat their sister with helmet and hammer for demanding her share of property left behind by their father.

The incident, which took place in the limits of Bhanamarli police station of the provincial capital, came into police’s notice after a video of the attackers went viral on social media. The attackers also beat their mother who tried to stop them from attacking their sister.The police have registered an FIR against the suspects and started an investigation.

In a statement issued on Twitter Peshawar’s Capital city Police said they the suspects have been identified as Aftab and Arshad, residents of Ameen Colony.

The police said the duo tortured their sister for demanding a share in the property of their father. They said The woman has been shifted to a hospital for medico-legal examination.
