Petrol prices increased in Pakistan

Islamabad: The government on Tuesday increased the petrol price by Rs2.13 per litre, taking the per litre price to Rs110.69.

High-Speed diesel prices has been raised by Rs1.79 and the commodity will now cost Rs112.55 per litre. Light diesel will now be availble at Rs79.68.

The government was asked by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to increase petrol price by Rs4.20 per lite and diesel by Rs3.50.

Th country revises petroleum prices every 15 days. The OGRA’s recommendations are sent to the prime minister who makes the final decision on the prices.

The government recently presented “people friendly” budget in the National Assembly where it has received strong reaction from the opposition parties.
