Police launch investigation after Layyah scandal rocks Pakiatan
Lahore: A woman said she was abducted, tortured and sexually assaulted by a gang for five days in Layyha district of South Punjab.
In a video statement, the woman said a gang of men identified as Waseem Alvi, Ibrar Babar and an unnamed suspect kidnapped her and shifted her to Chowk Azam area of Layyah.
She said that the suspects raped and tortured her for five days. She said that she was also forced to sexually engage with dogs.
The woman said that the suspects would make videos of the sexual assault and upload on different websites.
She requested the police to register an FIR and take action against her tormentors.
Punjab police said Additional Inspector General South Punjab has set up special teams to arrest the gang involved in the kidnapping of women.
The police said a special team would look into all aspects of the case.
