PPP’s Shagufta Jumani wrongly accused of insulting Azan
Islamabad: A coordinated campaign has been launched against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MNA Shagufta Jumani for her remarks about Azan, the Muslim call for prayer.
Political opponents are circulating an edited version of her speech in the National Assembly where she is seen objecting to Muazzin, the man who gives Azan.
Full video of her speech shows that the female politician has been wrongly accused of insulting Azan as she was objecting merely to the way Azan was being given in the parliament lodges.
PML-N leader Khawaja Asif also agreed with Shagufta Jumani in his speech on the floor of the house.
