PTI condemns campaign against Mehwish Hayat, Mahira Khan, Kubra Khan, Sajal Ali

Islamabad: The social media team of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has condemned the propaganda against Mehwish Hayat, Mahira Khan, Kubra Khan and Sajal Ali.

Jibran Iyas, who leads the party’s social media team, condemned the campaign which was started by propagandist Major (rest) Adil Raja.

“This is ridiculously false. We respect women and admire these actresses who have made Pakistan proud via their performances,” he said and also asked Adil Raja to delete his YouTube video against the artists.

PTI leader Azhar Mashwani asked party supporters to avoid from becoming part of the inappropriate campaign.

PTI’s Minister on Information Technology in Punjab, Dr Arslan Khalid, shared a tweet which asked party workers not to spread allegations levelled by Adil Raja against the artists. It also said Raja is not the voice of the PTI and is “Only cashing in on the sentiments of people.”

Other members of the PTI social media team also condemned the campaign against Mehwish Hayat, Mahira Khan, Kubra Khan and Sajal Ali.

While sharing initials of the actresses, Adil Raja had claimed that they were used by former army chief General (retd) Bajwa and former ISI chief Lt. General (retd) Faiz Hameed to trap politicians.
