Rabab Sikandar hasn’t asked for new appointment says family

Islamabad: Imran Khan has objected to the appointment of the wife of Chief Election Commissioner Rabab Sikandar as Chief Collector of Custom Appraisement.

The former prime minister mentioned the appointment as he intensified his criticism against Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja ahead of July 17 by- elections.

The appointment was highlighted by a section of anti-government media and it was portrayed as some kind of favor.

Independent Journalist Matiuallah Jan said that Rabab was promoted to grade 21 by the previous government of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Citing family sources, Matiullah Jan said that Rabab Sikandar’s appointment was in accordance with her grade and she has not expressed desire to be appointed as Chief Collector.
