Rangers under fire for beating up motorcyclist in Karachi

Karachi: : The Pakistan Rangers Sindh is receiving backlash after a video of the paramilitary troops beating up a motorcyclist went viral.

The video shows the Rangers vehicle hitting the biker and the soldiers torturing him after he had fallen.

The video spread like a wild fire, with journalists and citizens criticizing the paramilitary force for the illegal act.

Rangers said the motorcyclist was a criminal and was being chased by the troops.

It said the motorcycle was hit on purpose to stop the suspected criminal from fleeing.
