Rs75 currency note not being accepted in markets
Karachi: The currency notes of Rs75 are not being accepted in the markets.
The commemorative banknote of Rs 75 marking the diamond jubilee of the country’s independence was issued for the general public in September last year.
Citizens have complained that the new currency note is not being accepted at the hotels and shops with claims that banks do not honor it.
A large number of people acquired new currency notes on Eid-ul-Fitr to distribute as Eidi but they were left disappointed and frustrated when even children refused to accept them.
The State Bank of Pakistan has been urged to take notice of the situation and take measures to address the issue.
