Main Channu mob kills man for ‘burning’ pages of Quran

Multan: A frenzied mob stoned a man to death for allegedly burning some pages of the Holy Quran in Tulamba town near Mian Channu area of Punjab The mob then hanged the man’s corpse to the tree.

A video of the incident showed Muhammad Mushtaq of Sahiwal being dragged out of the mosque before being lynched with bricks and sticks.

Senior journalist and TV show host Mubashir Zaidi said that the man was brought to a police station but asked to leave in order to protect itself from the mob.

He said that a large number of people were present outside the police station who lynched him to death.
