Sergi Mingote falls to death during K2 Winter Expedition

Mountaineer Sergi Mingote died during an expedition to ascend the 8,611-meter-high K2 during the Winter K2 Expedition .

The mountaineer suffered an accident, and although at first it was said that he had damage to his leg, several Pakistani sources confirmed his death when he was descending to base camp.

Mingote’s death has also been confirmed by the Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, who was a “personal friend.”
