Shafqat Mahmood resigns as PTI Punjab President
Lahore: Shafqat Mahmood has resigned from the position of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab President.
The former education minister was asked to resign after his failure to bring out people to join the party’s Azadi March last month.
Imran Khan was reportedly angry with Mehmood for returning from Muridke instead of joining the party’s protesters in Islamabad.
PTI vice chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi would reportedly oversee party’s affair in Punjab after Shafqat Mehmood’s resignation.
