Shahbaz Gill stripped and tortured: Imran Khan
Islamabad: Imran Khan on Tuesday said his chief of staff Shahbaz Gill was stripped and tortured in police custody.
In an interview with Fereeha Idrees, the former prime minister said his lawyers told him that Gill was meted out inhuman treatment.
The PTI chairman said he was in pain after hearing about torture on Gill.
Khan said Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Maulana Fazlur Rehman spoke against the army but no action was taken against them.
Asked whether he condemns what Gill said on ARY News about the army, Imran Khan said, “Yes, he shouldn’t have said this.”
Imran Khan said Shahbaz Gill’s statement gave the impression as if he was trying to incite mutiny.
Khan blamed Geo News and its journalists for highlighting the tweets that were posted against the army officers killed in Balochistan helicopter crash.
He said that Lt.General Sarfaraz was an outstanding army officer.
