Shahzeb Khanzada criticized for highlighting military imbalance between US, Iran
Karachi: TV host Shahzeb Khanzada on Wednesday drew comparison between military capabilities of the United States and Iran amid escalating tensions between the two countries.
While highlighting American military prowess, the journalist said Iran is no match for its arch foe.
He said while it might be true that US has not won any of wars it imposed on Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, all the countries it invaded lost millions of lives and their infrastructure.
The anchor said the wars might have cost America billions of dollars and affected its economy, the country’ still continue to be the Super Power.
The host of prime time show “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath” later shared video of the discussion on his Facebook account and all hell broke loose.
Majority of users criticized him for what they said singing the praises of America. But none of them came up with anything substantial to counter the anchor person.
Khanzada was drawing the comparisons in the after math of rising tensions between the US and Iran over the America’s killing of Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani in a drone attack last week.
Iran launched retaliatory attacks by firing missiles into Iraq while targeting a military base hosting US forces.
While Tehran claimed it killed 80 enemy forces, Washington denies any loss of life in the attack.
