Sindh governor rule reports rejected by center

Karachi: A government spokesman on Monday rejected the reports regarding the imposition of governor’s rule in Sindh province.

Shehbaz Gill, the Prime Minister’s Assistant on Political Communication, said there is no truth to the reports.

He was reacting to a tweet by senior journalist Talat Hussain which read, “Federal sources say “if need be paper work is ready for imposition of governor’s rule in Sindh”. “No decision yet but if and when the time comes the legalities have all been sorted out”, law officials.”

Gill criticized Talat Hussain for spreading what he said lies.

The rumors regarding imposition of governor rule starting doing the rounds after the arrest of Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar.

It was claimed that Safdar was taken into custody after Rangers pressured IG Sindh , a claim that couldn’t be verified independently.
