State Bank refuses to work on Saturdays
Islamabad: As private and public sector employees protested the government’s decision not to restore Saturday holiday, the State Bank of Pakistan refused to work on Saturdays.
The SBP, which is an autonomous body, on Friday released a statement detailing working days and office timings which it said will also be followed by all banks.
Meanwhile, the government is receiving backlash for announcing a six-day week.
