Taliban deny cash, gold recovered from Amrullah Saleh’s house in Panjshir

Kabul: Deputy Head of the Taliban Cultural Commission denied the discovery of $6.5 million in cash, gold bars and arm cache from the house of former Afghan vice president Amraullah Saleh in Panjshir where the Taliban are fighting the resistance forces.

Wasiq, wo was talking to Daily Etilaa newspaper did not provide further details, ,according to Ihsanullah Tipu Mehsud a senior journalist from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who is associated with the New York Times.

Earlier in the day, Pakistani media ran the news of the cash and gold recovery in headlines. A video of the purported cash recovery by the Taliban from Amrullah Saleh was also aired on several TV channels.
