Army tanks not deployed to stop PTI protesters at Lahore Cantt
Lahore: A group of lawyers associated with the PTI and Imran Khan’s supporters held a protest at the Lahore Cantt a day after the former prime minister was injured in a firing incident.
Soldiers were deployed to stop the protesters marching towards the Cantt.
Haider Majeed, one of the protesters, shared a video from the demonstration and said army tanks were brought to stop them.
Several journalists also said that tanks were sent to prevent the marchers from entering the Cantt.
But the videos shared by the protesters showed that APCs (Armoured Personnel Carrier) were used instead of army tanks.
APC’s are also used by police and paramilitary troops.
