Toshakhana: Imran Khan, Nawaz retained expensive gifts but let go off books

Islamabad: Pakistani politicians and their supporters are engaged in mudslinging after the Cabinet Division released the details of Toshakhana gifts on Sunday.

Maryam Nawaz was criticizing Imran Khan for selling Toshakhana watches and jewelry despite the fact that her own father retained several expensive gifts.

Fawad Chaudhry was taunting Maryam for keeping pineapple while he himself brought home boxes of dates from Toshakhana.

While there is a long list of gifts which the prime ministers and their cabinet members received during their foreign trips, there was one precious gift which none of the Pakistani politician retained.

According to details, Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif and Arif Alvi received nine books during their foreign visits and none of them retained them.

All the books were sent to Cabinet Division, National Library.
