US condemns attack on Imran Khan

Washington: The United States on Thursday condemned the attack on former prime minister Imran Khan.

In a statement, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said, “The U.S. strongly condemns the shooting of @ImranKhanPTI at a political rally.”

He said, “We wish him and all others injured a quick recovery, and we offer condolences to the family of the individual who was killed. All parties should remain peaceful. Violence has no place in politics.”
