What happened in General Bajwa’s LUMS visit?
Lahore: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday visited the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
The army chief talked to the students and took questions during his almost six hour long visit.
While it was not immediately known what questions General Bajwa was asked during his interaction with the students, #COAS and #LUMS became Twitter trends when hundreds of people shared their views on the army chief’s visit.
Several students praised General Bajwa for his candid interaction but a number of people were seen criticizing the LUMS management for security arrangements made during his visit.
Nida Kirmani, a professor who at LUMS, was prominent among those who objected to the high profile visit.
