‘Why do you need a husband?’: Justice Javed Iqbal accused of harassing missing person’s wife

Islamabad: Defence For Human Rights chairperson Amina Masood Janjua has accused NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal of harassing the wife of a missing person.

Speaking on Capital Talk, she said a Pakhtun woman whose husband went missing had appeared before Justice Javed Iqbal, who was also the head of Missing Persons Commission.

Ms Janjua said the woman came to her office and told her she would never appear before the commission.

Amina Janjua said when she probed the woman as to why she was upset she told her that Javed Iqbal had asked her, “You are so beautiful, why do you need a husband?”
