Zara Abid: Pakistani model dies in PIA plane crash

Pakistani model Zara Abid was among the passengers who died in an air crash involving a Pakistani International Airlines (PIA) flight on Friday.

The list carrying names of the passengers suggested that she was among 99 people who had boarded the plane in Lahore.

The authorities said three people survived in the crash and the model’s name was not on the list of survivors.

Condolences poured in after it emerged that Zara Abid was also on board the ill-fated plane that went down in a residential area near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

Colleagues form the entertainment industry took to social media to express sorrow over the death of Zara and other passengers.

Turkish actress Esra Bilgic, who played the role of Halime Sultan in “Dirilis:Ertugrul” also offered her condolences to people of Pakistan and fans of Zara Abid.

Esra left a comment on one of the photos Zara had posted on her Instagram three days before her death.
