Zulfi Bukhari says will return to Pakistan in two days

Islamabad: Former Special Assistant to the PM for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari has said that he would return to Pakistan in two days, a day after it was claimed by opposition parties that he has fled the country after resigning from his position over Rawalpindi Ring Road scandal.

Zulfi’s name became top Twitter trend in Pakistan Saturday after some journalists and commentators claimed that Zulfi Bukhari run away from Pakistan.

Reacting to the rumors, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s close aide held Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) responsible for making Twitter trend against him.

He said in a statement, “Could have done this earlier but it’s more fun after you waste time a useless trend. I’ill be relaxing in Dubai and return after two days, see you soon.”

Zulfi Bukhari added, “PMLN warriors and speculative media may take a break as well.”
