Karachi: Pakistan Army soldier shot dead
Karachi: A Pakistan Army solider was shot dead in Landhi area of the city on late Saturday night.
Police said the soldier identified as Asad Ali Khan, 24, was targeted in front of the Fire Brigade Office.
The body was shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities. The police said motive behind the murder was yet to be know.
They said an investigation has been launched to arrest the killers.
Karachi, home to at least 20 million people and commercial hub of the nation, has seen a relative lull in violence after paramilitary forces launched a crackdown against criminal elements.
The number of targeted killings have considerably dropped in the metropolis but street crimes still remain a big challenge for the police.
