Pakistan flexes muscles with Ghaznavi missile launch
Rawalpindi: Pakistan on Thursday said it has carried out a successful night training launch of surface to surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi.
Military spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Twitter that The missile is capable of delivering multiple types of warheads up to 290 Kms.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs congratulated the team for carrying the successful launch at night time.
“The President and the Prime Minister have conveyed appreciation to team and felicitated the nation on the success,” said Major Gen Ghafoor.
The launch comes amid rising tensions in occupied Kashmir after India revoked the Muslim majority state.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has warned India against any military operation in Pakistan.
