Babar Azam, Bazid anger Indian fans with Urdu idiom after T20 World Cup match

Some Indian cricket fans are criticizing Pakistan captain Babar Azam and Bazid Khan for using Urdu language idiom “Kufr toot gaya”.

Among hundreds of people who sought action against Babar and Bazid was also an Indian author who demanded the ICC take action against the Pakistan presenter and the skipper after the green-shirts beat India in T20 World Cup match on Sunday.

Reema Omer, a prominent Pakistani liberal activist and lawyer, responded to criticism and explained the phrase used during the conversation between Bazid Khan and Babar Azam.

Bazid is the son of former Pakistan captain Majid Khan and a nephew of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
