PCB slammed for not showing Imran Khan in video segment on 1992 World Cup win

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCb) is receiving backlash after it censored Imran Khan’s footage and his name from a video mentioning 1992 World Cup victory.

The video released in connection with the independence day celebrations pays tribute to Pakistan’s cricket stars who shaped the history of the game.

Surprisingly, Imran Khan, who led Pakistan to its only world cup victory, was missing from certain segment of the video where it shows historic moments from the tournament.

Caption accompanying the video reads, “Making history isn’t just about one day, it’s about the legends we create and the tales we script. Pakistan Cricket Team – a legacy that echoes through time.”

Hundreds of cricket fans criticized the PCb for not showing Imran Khan, who is currently in jail over corruption charges, in the video.
