Traffic plan PSL 2019 devised for Karachi


KARACHI: Authorities have devised a plan to ensure smooth flow of traffic as Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches starts on Saturday amid tight security arrangements.


The metropolis which was earlier scheduled to host five matches of the PSL will now saw all eight remaining contests being held at the National Cricket Stadium.

The Pakistan Cricket Broad (PCB) decided to shift three matches from Lahore to Karachi after flight scheduled was affected due to spike in tensions between India and Pakistan.


Five spots have been allocated for parking include: Hakeem Saeed Play Ground, Urdu University, Sunday Bazaar opposite Bait-ul-Mukarram Masjid in Gulshan.


Apart from Agha Khan and Liaquat National Hospital route, fans can travel through Shahra-e-Faisal and Rashid Minhas Road to reach the stadium.


The traffic police have closed the road from Karsaz visa Hasan Square to Agha Khan Hospital Gate III for commuters.


After parking their vehicles , visitors will be taken to the stadium via shuttle service. The roads on the backside of the National Stadium will remain closed for the visitors. Residents, however, can use the route after showing their ID cards.


People with plans to travel to Karsaz and Dalmia will have to take alternative routes.
