Trump calls PM Imran very popular and great athlete

Washington: US President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Imran Khan the very popular and great athlete during their meeting at the White House.

“It is my honor to have the very popular and great athlete, the prime minister of Pakistan at White House,” said President Trump to PM Imran Khan in front of the media after welcoming him at the White House.

Imran Khan is the former captain of Pakistan cricket team who led his team to its only World Cup victory in 1992.

He founded his political party the PTI in 1996 and became the Prime Minister of Pakistan in 2018 after winning majority of seats in the parliament.
