A mild earthquake struck 20 miles outside Cleveland in Lake Erie area on Monday, US Geological Survey said.
The 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit at the depth of 3.1 miles before 11:00 am local time.
“Did you feel that rumble this morning Cleveland? Well if you missed it, we caught this morning’s earthquake on multiple #OHGO cameras. Check it out! #Clevelandreallyrocks,” the Ohio Department of Transportation tweeted.
No loss of life or property was reported from the area hit by the earthquake.
Twitter users were joking about the low intensity of the earthquake and the panic it created in other parts of the country.
