Giant huntsman spider captured eating a possum

Terrifying images of a huntsman spider eating a possum went viral on social media after an Aussie captured the moment while fixing a door in Tasmania.

Justine Latton shared the images on a Facebook page “Tasmanian Insects and Spiders” after her husband and a friend spotted the massive spider devouring possum in Mount Field National Park, Tasmania
The Facebook page is dedicated to discussing Tasmanian insects and spiders.

“Possum-eating spider!” Mrs Latton captioned the post.
The post was liked and shared by thousands of people who were left terrified after seeing the hunstman spider eating possum.

Some people called the eight-legged creature a zombie spider for eating an animal far bigger in size than the huntsman itself.
