‘Is Instagram down today?’ Asks Facebook-owned app on Twitter

Millions of people across the globe experienced Facebook and Instagram outage on Thursday. The outage was confirmed by the official Twitter account on Instagram that asked the users , “Is your #instagramdown? We know some people are having issues right now. We’re working on it and hope to have everything running smoothly as soon as possible.

23 minutes after the first tweet, Instagram said “We’re back”, without sharing the magnitude of the latest outage exprienced by the users of the Facebook-owned platform.

Thousands of people took to Twitter to complain that Facebook was also down.
