Muslims in UK protest against film ‘The Lady of Heaven’ for depicting Islamic figures

London: Hundreds of Muslims took to streets in several cities of the UK after a controversial film depicting Hazrat Fatima, the daughter of Prophet Muhammad, released on June 3.

A section of the British media called the protesters hardline element of the Muslim community and urged the government to stop worrying about offending them.

According to the plot summary, the story of the film titled “The Lady of The Heaven” is about an Iraqi child who loses his mother in the midst of war torn country. The body learns the importance and power of patience by discovering the historical story of Hazrat Fatima and her suffering.

A large number of Muslims in the UK are protesting against the movie for its depictions of several Islamic figures including caliphs.
