National Dog Mom’s Day Celebrated: Here is why

Dog • Mother’s Day

National Dog Mom’s Day or Dog Mother’s Day was celebrated on May 11 just a day before people marked Mother’s Day on Sunday.

While people across the world celebrated mothers and everything they do for their kids, some people in United States and elsewhere chose Saturday to dogs and marked National Dog Moms Day to show their bond with their puppies.

A survey carried out by rover.com revealed that three out of four female dog owners call themselves “dog mom”, with 40 percent of them owning clothing that have “dog mom” written on them.

Folks gave dogs extra cuddles, baked puppy treat and posed for selfies and posted on social media to celebrate the day.
