Pakistani man, Turkish pilot plunge to their death in paragliding accident

ANKARA: A Pakistani man plunged to his death along with a Turkish paragliding pilot in a tandem paragliding accident on Monday, officials said.

Pakistani national Zarak Zaheer and his pilot Mustafa Kemal Ozturk were found dead by the Turkish officials in Fethiye district of Turkey’s Mugla province.

Zaheer and his pilot disappeared shortly after they jumped off a 1,965 meter high Babadag Mountain.

Local media said foggy conditions might have caused accident.

English language Hurrriyet Daily reported that the bodies were spotted on the rocks by a drone.

Rescuers were dispatched to the scene but they found the men dead.

The deceased were lifted by a helicopter and shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.

A video of the last moments of the Pakistan man and his Turkish paragliding pilot jumping from the mountain is doing the rounds on social media in Turkey.
