Who is Alva Johnson?

Alva Johnson is an African American woman who has accused US President  Donald Trump  of kissing her without her consent during his 2016 election campaign where she worked for him.

The woman on Monday  filed a lawsuit against the US president and sat for an interview with Washington Post.

Alva Johnson is 43 years old and mother four children.  In her lawsuit she sought damages for the emotional suffering and pain, accusing Mr Trump of holding her by the hand and trying to kiss her on the lips ahead of a rally in Florida months before the presidential election.

According to the law suit Alwa Johnson is “highly accomplished African-American woman who served as a senior staffer.

The former campaign staffer for the Republican leader told the Post: “Oh, my God, I think  he’s going to kiss me. . . He is coming straight for my lips. So I turn my head, and he kisses me right on corner of my mouth, still holding my hand the entire time. Then walks on out”.

Asked as to why she decided to come forward years after the incident took place, she told the newspaper although she immediately felt violated because she was not expecting  it or wanting it, she tried to move on with her life.

She  said she thought about coming forward but was afraid of Trump’s supporters expecting a backlash.

“ I have tried to let it go. . . You want to move on with your life. I don’t sleep. I wake up at 4 in the morning looking at the news. I feel guilty. The only thing I did was show up for work one day.

Hassan A. Zavareei, a counsel for the Alva Johnson, said in a statement: “After Trump’s victory, Mr Johnson tried to move on with her life.

“But when she saw what her work on the campaign had wrought—a president who mocks the #MeToo movement and undermines the dignity of the office with his sexist and racist behavior—she decided to seek justice for herself and the many other women victimized by this sexual predator,”.

He called her a brave woman whom he is proud to represent in “this important lawsuit.

Press Secretary Sarah  Sanders rejected the allegation as “absurd on its face saying it never happened.

She said the accusation is directly contradicted by multiple” highly credible eyewitness accounts”.
