Zakir Naik opposes construction of Hindu Mandir in Islamabad
Islamic cleric Dr Zakir Naik has expressed his opinion on the construction of a Hindu temple in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad.
Responding to a question, the Indian cleric said in a video statement that the construction of any worship place for non-Muslims from the money generated through donations from Muslims is not permissible in Islam.
The Hindu Mandir controversy in Pakistan is going on after a social media campaign run by hard line Muslims opposed the constriction of the temple in the capital with public funds.
Multiple groups of secular Muslims are demanding the government build the temple to express solidarity with the Hindu minority.
