Report about commercial feeders shutdown dismissed
Islamabad: A report regarding closure of commerical feeders for three hours has been dismissed by the the Federal Ministry of Energy
The report published in The News said that commercial feeders would witness outages between 7 pm and 10 pm daily.
The ministry said that no discussions about shutting down the power of commercial feeders are currently taking place.
Widely circulated daily The News reported that Federal government had planned to halt power to commercial feeders in the country after 7:00 p.m. for three hours in order to reduce electricity shortages, despite strong opposition from traders.
It said there would be no load-shedding on commercial feeders throughout the day, but “the action will help the government save 5,000 MW
