Social media activist Arsalan Khan released after ‘warning’
Karachi: Rangers on Friday said they have released journalist and activist Arsalan Khan, hours after his family said he was abducted by the paramilitary source.
A protest was held outside the Karachi Press Club earlier in the day against the alleged enforced disappearance of social media activist Arsalan Khan.
The protesters called on the authorities to release Arsalan.
Journalist Mubashir Zaidi shared a video statement from Khan’s wife.
She said that her husband was taken into custody last night.
She said that over a dozen armed Rangers arrived at their home and whisked him away.
Khan’s wife said she was told that her husband was being taken away for his social media activities.
