Mrs Khan, the matchmaker who has gone viral for her controversial remarks about married women, was invited on Geo morning show on Monday.

The woman stuck to her view point that women are to blame for the increasing number of divorces in Pakistan.

Huma Amir Shah and her co-host Abdullah Sultan asked some tough questions and put her on defensive.

When Geo anchors resumed the debate on Tuesday, this time with women from different walks of life, Huma Amir Shah made a startled revelation which highlighted the misogyny that runs deep in our conservative nation.

The anchor revealed that they received a backlash for confronting Mrs Khan.

The female anchor of the popular TV show lamented that although she jointly hosted the show with Sultan most of the backlash was directed at her.

She said the criticism against her was the proof of how women are singled out in our society.
