Actor Matthew Perry, beloved star of “Friends” died on Saturday after apparently drowning in a hot tub. He was 54.
The American-Canadian performer was found dead in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home.
The actor’s death left millions of his fans devastated with majority them wising the news of his death was a hoax.
A large number of people refused to accept that he died by drowning, with some saying his recent Instagram posts were a call for help.
The actor’s Instagram posts were also used to spread conspiracy theories, with some users comparing his death to the demise of the lead singer of The Cranberries Dolores O’Riordan who died of an accidental drowning in 2018.
Some users believe one of the last things he posted was a video of “his hands” placing 3 cranberries on a table. They believe that the actor knew how is life was going to end.
But a close look at his Instagram post shows the actor was apparently placed some frozen grapes with caption, “This is what I’ve had to eat today. I’m Mattman.
His reference to Heath Ledger, who played Joker in Batman, in his recently released book was also discussed by conspiracy theorists as they cast doubts on the cause of his death.
Matthew Perry’s last Instagram post was a picture from the same hot tub where he reportedly died.
He shared a video of the moon with caption, “Do you understand what I’m trying to tell you?- I’m Mattman.
Some people believe he had relapsed and given up after finishing his book.
